Medical tourism has grown in Israel in the past years, bringing patients mainly from Eastern European countries including Russia and Ukraine. The increase in medical tourism raises the need of rules and regulations and an ethical code in order to protect the patient and the Israeli medical system from being exploited and misused by the involved parties. These subjects and others were discussed at the conference, bringing the field one step closer to becoming optimal.
